Estisk, the Feast and Famine Sapphire
With his smaller size, this Wher has made up for his relative weakness by watching his surroundings carefully. He has good instincts and a sharp memory, holding onto things (like grudges, maybe) for periods that extend longer than you might expect for a Watch-Wher. He is able to utilize a degree of foresight, planning his actions out carefully before reacting. He's fully aware that in order to gain, sometimes you must lose, and will balance the difference between the two as well as he can. Though not quite affectionate, he will be quite attached to his bonded. He's strictly obedient, and will do whatever his bonded wishes for, but sometimes it's hard to tell if it's out of love or because he knows that his bonded is his easiest ticket to his next meal. Either way, he gets on with those around him unless he is directly in danger, though friendly might not quite be the correct term.
Though spindly might not be quite the right word used to describe a Watch-Wher in general, this Sapphire seems slightly off because he's not quite as nicely muscled as other Whers might be. He's a nice royal blue color, with cyan and electric blue streaks, alternating quite regularly, cut across his neck, down his stomach to the base ending off with a cyan tip of his tail.

Zenisk, the Dragon's Tongue Sulfur
Probably one of the most reliable whers out of the clutch, this sulphur is pretty trainable and will grow rather fond of his handler. There's a quiet capability about him that make him great as a guard wher. He's quick and alert and doesn't make much of a fuss. He's confident without being flashy or cocky and delivers on any threats made. Soft growls are really the only warning you'll get before a tail whips you too fast to stop. Dragon's Tongue is loyal to a fault and perhaps his only downside is that he can get a little too possessive of you.
Tending towards the less bulky side, this sulphur could almost be called lanky for a wher. It gives him the ability to move quickly on his feet, allowing for quick, hard hits with his claws and tail. Creamy yellow coats the front of his hide- the top of his head, his shoulders, chest, the fronts of all four of his legs. A more honeyed touch spreads out from there, coating his wings, flanks and back. His hindquarters and tail are suddenly dunked in dark ichor yellow without so much as a transition shade.

Goask, the Just My Groove Opal
This Opal is a rather still creature, often lounging around in a patch of sun rather than really moving any place. They are smaller still, than your average Opal, with a build that seems more fluffy than muscular. Their wings are extra tiny, thin and fairly transluscent, making them an especially bad glider. Their eyes are a little bigger, buggier, giving them an unusual extra set of of colors that bounce off of their bodies under light along with the rainbows that shine off of their body. The two sets never match.
There are some great and mighty Whers out there, and this Opal is not one of them. They are very content living life coasting along, going with the flow, unflappable because being flappable is kind of a lot of work. They are extremely easy to manage, unaggressive, not particularly strong (but still a Wher, mind you) and a great companion if you want one who will simply sit and listen. On the flip side, they aren't particularly active or playful, tending towards being lazy and sleepy, making them quite an unassuming presence and easy to walk right by without even noticing that they're there. Though there are not too many strong feelings being felt, they will grow attached to their bonded, sending off general feelings of enjoyment, happiness, and companionship in their bonded's direction. They they have a weak disposition, they are not particularly sickly, and will put their bonded at a sort of sense of ease because there really is not much to worry about them.

Vesk, the Jade Conqueror Oort Cloud Emerald
Vesk is an unfortunately aptly-named wher. She’s a phenomenally vexing creature, smart enough to test boundaries and physically powerful enough to make these ‘tests’ dangerous to anyone who isn’t Zenith. Worse yet, she’s stubborn, all but incapable of diverting once she’s set her course. Combine that with her natural tendency towards possessiveness and you’ve got a right pain in the neck wher. ...or would, if she wasn’t so easy to manipulate. The only thing Vesk hates more than being told ‘no’ is having her ‘property’ threatened- and if you’ve met her? You belong to her. The moment a threat to her and hers presents itself she sets all her wily intellect to work on utterly annihilating it. Even if that means taking orders from others or, heaven forfend, behaving herself... she’ll swallow her considerable pride and do it. It’ll take training and patience and an excess of willpower, but a properly-handled Vesk will grow into a Thread-fighter par excellence. In combat she’s a force to be reckoned with, uniting brute force physicality with a distinctly un-wher-like ability to plan ahead. Hope springs eternal that having something to fight for will dull the worst of her sharp edges.
One of the first generation of oort cloud whers spotted on Planet, Vesk is a fairly typical example of a rather atypical subspecies. She’s tall and broad and solidly-built, a bulldog of a wher with the bowed legs and barrel chest to match. Her hide bristles with natural armor in the form of living ice. Faintly translucent, its mossy green and milky off-white patches bring nephrite jade to mind. Vesk naturally breathes plumes of frost rather than fire.
